Grade 6 ILA and Bridge 
 

    Please note:  These are "tentative" lesson plans because actual lessons may move faster or slower than planned.    All assignments are due the next day unless otherwise noted.  Check your child's agenda for daily assignments and due dates.  Be sure to sign up for and check Parent Portal for grades.
    Students:  if you are sick--get well and we will figure out your make-up work when you return!

ILA Lesson Plans: Trimester 3 starts on Monday!  Library on Friday!

MONDAY:  March 15 Ugly Sweater Day
    1.  Bell Work #24 and correct.
    2.  Read and note.
    3.  Return work and discuss.
    4.  Bibliography:  how to and create rough draft of bibliography.
    5.  Create PowerPoint presentation on your biography research.
HOMEWORK:  Any work not completed in class.  Read for 30 minutes at home every night.  Bring party permission and money by Wednesday!
   
TUESDAY:  March 16 Wear Blue Day
    1.  Bell work and correct. 
    2.  Read and journal.
    3.  Review biography.  Complete previewing form.  
    4.  Video on Black Inventors and Innovators.  Complete form on each biography.         
HOMEWORK:  Any work not completed in class.   Read for 30 minutes each day at home! Bring party permission and money by tomorrow!

WEDNESDAY:  March 17 St. Patrick's Day
   
 1.  Bell work and correct.  
    2.  Read and journal.
    3.  Review biography.  Finish video.
    4.  Computer time for PowerPoint on biography.
HOMEWORK:  Any work not completed in class.  Read for 30 minutes each day at home! 

THURSDAY: March 18  Dress Like Twins Day
    1.  Bell work and correct.
    2.  Read and journal.
    3.  Main idea:  powerpoint, p. 420, p. 436.
    4.  Read p. 437-438 and p. 439-441.  Compare main ideas across the stories.
    5.  P. 442, 1-4.
HOMEWORK:  Any work not completed in class.  Read for 30 minutes each day at home!  Bring library books tomorrow!!!
    
FRIDAY:  March 19 All School Party from 6:30 - 9:00 PM.  LIBRARY TODAY!
    1.  Bell work and correct.  Turn in.
    2.  Read and journal.
    3.  Spelling Lesson 22: -ant, -ent
    4.  Chect p. 442.  Discuss main ideas across text.
    5.  Review myth and mythic hero criteria.  
    6.  Do constructed response to myth.
    7.  Library visit to check out books and evaluate websites.
HOMEWORK:  Any work not completed in class.  Read for 30 minutes each day at home!
